Manchester United Suffer Double Injury Scare in Pre-Season Victory Over Real Betis

Manchester United endured a double injury scare in their 3-2 pre-season win against Real Betis. Prior to the match, it was confirmed that United would be without Leny Yoro for three months and Rasmus Hojlund for six weeks. However, the game in San Diego brought more injury concerns for the Red Devils.

Marcus Rashford was forced to leave the field twenty minutes into the second half, while Antony was substituted after just twenty minutes, being replaced by Sam Mather in the closing stages. Both players appeared to be in significant discomfort, with updates from Erik ten Hag expected soon.

Despite the injuries, there was some positive news. Rashford was seen wearing club training gear and seemed to be in good spirits as Manchester United celebrated their win with the Snapdragon Cup at full-time. However, Antony was notably absent following his late withdrawal.

Rashford had earlier equalized for United three minutes after they fell behind to Real Betis in San Diego. Amad and Casemiro added goals to give United a 3-1 lead by halftime. In the second half, after several substitutions, Diego Llorente scored a goal for Betis, but United held on for the victory.

Manchester United continue their pre-season preparations with a match against Liverpool at the weekend, followed by the Community Shield clash against Manchester City at Wembley next Saturday.
