Tragic Discovery at Kata Beach: Woman Found Dead Amidst Dangerous Conditions

This morning, a somber scene unfolded on Kata Beach in Phuket, where a lifeguard discovered the body of an Asian woman. According to Karon police, the deceased was found early today, clad in a black two-piece swimsuit, lying face down on the sand opposite the Club Med Hotel.

The woman, approximately 30 years old and 160 centimeters tall, had long black hair. Police reported no visible wounds on her body, and no identification documents were located at the scene, leaving her identity and the circumstances of her death shrouded in mystery.

Additionally, on June 17, an American tourist and his Thai girlfriend drowned at Mai Khao Beach. Despite red flag warnings, they ventured into the sea. The bodies of the 45-year-old American from New York and the 48-year-old Thai woman from Surin province were recovered, with the American man showing signs of bruising from the violent waves, as confirmed by Police Major Ronnapoom Permpoon of the Thachatchai Police Station.
