Thomas Frank, the highly regarded Brentford manager, is being tipped for a future role at one of Europe’s elite clubs after receiving glowing praise from Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola. Following City's 2-1 victory over Brentford, Guardiola acknowledged Frank's tactical acumen and suggested that it’s only a matter of time before the Dane makes a "big move."

During the Premier League clash, Erling Haaland’s double secured the win for City, but it was Brentford’s early dominance, led by Yoane Wissa's opening goal, that caught Guardiola’s attention. The City manager expressed his admiration for Frank, emphasizing that his managerial skills would eventually lead him to one of Europe’s top clubs.

Guardiola was asked about Frank’s future, responding: "It’s just a matter of time. I can tell when a manager is good, and Thomas Frank is definitely one of the best. It will happen." This statement reignited speculation linking Frank to high-profile managerial positions, including the Liverpool head coach role. Frank was previously rumored to be a candidate for the Liverpool job during Jurgen Klopp's uncertain future, as well as for the Manchester United position amid doubts surrounding Erik ten Hag.

In response to Guardiola's praise, Frank expressed his gratitude, saying: "Thank you, Pep. I admire him a lot, not just for his coaching but also for the way he handles himself. I’m very happy at Brentford, but who knows what the future holds?"

While Thomas Frank remains dedicated to Brentford for now, the rumors of a potential move to a top-tier European club continue to swirl. With Frank’s reputation growing after several strong performances in the Premier League, including Brentford’s impressive play against Manchester City, it’s easy to see why top clubs are keeping a close eye on him.

Guardiola also took time to commend Brentford’s performance against his side. He noted that Brentford's first 20 minutes were among the most difficult City had faced in years, praising their pressing, transitions, and tactical execution. "They deserve to be two or three goals up. I haven’t seen a team play like this against us for a long time. Brentford is an extraordinary team," said Guardiola.

As Frank’s stock continues to rise, many are left wondering which top club will secure his managerial expertise next.
