Manchester United Reach Verbal Agreement for Noussair Mazraoui as £25m Transfer Update Emerges

Manchester United have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich. Journalist Santi Aouna claims that an agreement has been reached between Manchester United and Mazraoui. However, the move hinges on the sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirms Mazraoui's desire to join United, but the transfer is currently on hold as discussions with West Ham over Wan-Bissaka's transfer continue. Manchester United values the right-back at over £15 million.

Manager Erik ten Hag is focused on strengthening his defense following the arrival of Leny Yoro from Lille. If Wan-Bissaka departs, Diogo Dalot will be the sole right-back option for United, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia covering the left-back positions.

In other transfer news, Brighton is expected to bid for United-linked defender Ferdi Kadioglu. The 24-year-old was previously linked with a Premier League move but chose to delay his decision until after Euro 2024.

So far, Manchester United have secured Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and Leny Yoro from Lille, but Ten Hag is determined to further bolster his squad. "We already made two very good buys, so when everyone is fit we have a team that can beat everyone," Ten Hag recently stated.

"But also in squad depth, we have to catch up. We know that because [when] we had injuries, we are vulnerable, and we have to avoid this. First, by getting fewer injuries and picking up fewer injuries. And second, our squad has to be that good in depth. I want the squad as strong as possible."
