Manchester United Hold Talks to Sign Euro 2024 Star After Impressing vs Germany

Manchester United have reportedly initiated discussions to secure Bologna's versatile winger Dan Ndoye, who has caught the eye with his performances at Euro 2024.

The 23-year-old joined Bologna last summer from Swiss side FC Basel in a €9 million (£7.6m) deal. Despite a challenging first season in Serie A, where he managed only one goal and one assist due to a hamstring injury that sidelined him for nearly six weeks, Ndoye has shone at Euro 2024.

Ndoye has been a key player for Switzerland, starting all three group stage matches and delivering impressive performances. His standout moment came when he scored in the 1-1 draw against Germany. Now, Ndoye is set to start in Switzerland's last-16 clash against Italy this Saturday.

According to reports from Sky Italy, Ndoye's impressive displays have piqued Manchester United's interest. The club has reportedly made inquiries about the winger following Switzerland’s draw with Germany, the tournament hosts.

Inter Milan is also monitoring Ndoye's situation, considering him as a potential replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who may depart this summer.

United’s new leadership team, including Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, is already familiar with Ndoye from his two seasons at Nice.

Reflecting on his future amid the transfer speculations, Ndoye stated last week, “Football goes very fast – one day you are very high and one day you are low. I want to continue playing like this and stay focused on the European Championship with Switzerland.”
