PHUKET POLICE ARREST BRITISH MAN OVER COCAINE SALES

Police in Karon have arrested a British man who was allegedly selling cocaine as well as using methamphetamine and crystal methamphetamine.

The Briton, named only as 45 year old Mr David, was arrested at a rental room on Tai Na Road, according to a report from the Phuket Express. Arresting officers seized an unknown quantity of cocaine, along with crystal methamphetamine, and methamphetamine pills.

The suspect has been taken to Karon Police Station to be charged with illegally possessing cocaine with intent to sell and the illegal use of crystal methamphetamine and methamphetamine pills.

Police have not confirmed how they discovered the alleged drug dealer, but his arrest comes amid a crackdown on foreign lawbreakers on the island.

On Saturday, March 16, two New Zealand brothers were arrested in Chalong after failing to stop their motorbike when a policeman tried to pull them over.

They then allegedly assaulted the police officer, trying to steal his mobile phone and then his gun. Both men are now in custody, although the charges against them are yet to be announced. Both are expected to be blacklisted from the kingdom.
