Former Thai singer urges peaceful talks amidst fraud claims

Aerk Lederer, the Thai singer-turned-businessman, has recently made headlines following accusations from model Lily Nguyen and other alleged fraud victims. The accusations stem from claims that Lederer scammed them out of over 500 million baht. In response, Lederer has addressed the situation publicly, calling for a more peaceful approach to resolving the matter.

Accusations and Public Outcry

On a recent episode of the popular talk show "Noon Krasae," hosted by Kanchai, Lily Nguyen and several other models shared their allegations against Lederer. They detailed how they were reportedly deceived into investing substantial amounts of money, which they claim Lederer misappropriated. The case has been reported to the Royal Thai Police, and the victims are demanding justice.

During the show, Nguyen and the victims provided accounts of Lederer's purported deceitful practices. They allege that his actions led to significant financial losses and have called for legal action against him.

Lederer’s Response

In a bid to counter the allegations, Lederer took to Instagram to share his perspective. He described the claims as nothing new and accused the victims of creating unnecessary media commotion. Lederer stressed that their approach was counterproductive, suggesting that if they had reached out amicably, the situation could have been resolved sooner.

Lederer emphasized that he had previously tried to contact the victims, even sending lawyers to negotiate. He claims that his efforts were met with resistance, and his attempts to return and manage the business were obstructed.

“I’ve tried to resolve this matter in the past, but the victims did not facilitate a smooth resolution,” Lederer stated. “Now that I am abroad and succeeding, they are resurfacing with demands. If they truly want to settle this, they should reach out peacefully instead of making threats and complicating the issue.”

Life Abroad and Business Pursuits

Due to the ongoing pressures and disputes, Lederer has decided to relocate abroad to focus on his business ventures. He attributes the victims' renewed interest to his success overseas, suggesting that their motivations are influenced by his achievements outside Thailand.

Lederer has expressed frustration with the current state of negotiations, pointing out that his previous attempts to engage with the victims were ignored. He urged them to contact him directly through social media if they wish to resolve the matter amicably.

Ongoing Legal Pursuits

Despite Lederer’s call for a peaceful resolution, Lily Nguyen and other victims remain determined to pursue legal action. They have also requested the reopening of a related case involving Kanyakorn Supakarnkacharoen, also known as Kay Lederer, who was allegedly defrauded of 30 million baht before her tragic death in 2018, as reported by KhaoSod.

The situation remains complex, with both sides standing firm in their positions. As legal proceedings continue, the public and media attention on this case highlight the ongoing tension and the need for a resolution.
