AMERICAN MAN DIES IN FALL FROM PATTAYA HOTEL
Police in Pattaya are investigating an American man dying after plunging from the seventh floor of a hotel in the holiday town.
The 43 year old man, whose name is being withheld, pending relatives being notified through the Embassy, was found dead in the hotel car park at around 6am this morning, according to a Bangkok Post report.
A security guard at the hotel, named as 34 year old Supornchai Hatkham, was patrolling the grounds when he found the man’s body and alerted the authorities. The hotel is located on Thappraya 15 Road, according to police.
The American was wearing only pants when he was found lying face down and bleeding from his head. It’s understood he was staying in a room on the seventh floor of the hotel.
Officers have confirmed the room showed no signs of violence or forced entry, but say they found several syringes and the remnants of cannabis in the room.
