Aaron Wan-Bissaka is on the verge of completing a transfer to West Ham United, with the right-back scheduled to travel to London on Sunday, 11 August, to undergo a medical. The transfer, which involves a £15 million fee agreed between West Ham and Manchester United, is expected to bring the 26-year-old defender to the London Stadium as the Hammers' seventh permanent signing of the summer.

Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth confirmed the news on 10 August, highlighting that Wan-Bissaka has already agreed personal terms with West Ham. The medical is set to begin on Sunday afternoon, with the finalization of the transfer anticipated shortly thereafter.

Wan-Bissaka's arrival marks a significant addition to West Ham's defensive lineup. His move comes as a much-needed reinforcement following Ben Johnson’s departure, leaving Vladimir Coufal as the only senior right-back at the club. Wan-Bissaka, who initially joined Manchester United for £45 million in 2019, will bring experience and defensive prowess to Julen Lopetegui’s side, potentially transforming their backline.

The transfer fee reflects Wan-Bissaka entering the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, allowing West Ham to secure the player at a reduced price. With the addition of other new signings like Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo, the Hammers are shaping up to have a formidable defense in the upcoming Premier League season.
