In a truck collision in Phuket, a father has perished and his daughter, 12, has sustained minor injuries.
According to the Phuket Express, yesterday, February 29, at around 7 p.m., a six-wheeled vehicle crashed down a slope near Karon. It is understood that the truck was being utilized to move a crane from Soi Patak 12 to Karon Hill via the Patak Road.
Rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the driver’s body outside the truck. His 12 yea -old daughter had sustained minor injuries. The dead man has been named only as 43-year-old Mr. Akkadet, originally from Kanchanaburi.
Khundet Na Nongkhai, chief of Karon Police says the truck was travelling to a construction site on the road, but he believes the driver may have been unfamiliar with the road conditions.
