POLISH “SEX YOGA GURU” ARRESTED ON PHA NGAN FOR TEACHING WITHOUT A WORK PERMIT A 46 year old Polish man has been arrested and may have his visa revoked after being found to be teaching tantra yoga without a work permit. Michal Grygoruk, who runs a You Tube channel with over 18 million subscribers, was arrested on Koh Pha Ngan in the Gulf of Thailand, on Saturday, March 23. Khaosod English reports that Mr. Grygoruk was arrested after police received a complaint of alleged sexual misconduct against a foreign yoga teacher at Tantra Movement School on Koh Pha Ngan. Koh Pha Ngan Tourist Police worked with Surat Thani Police and Immigration to raid the premises, arresting Grygoruk in a hut. According to the report, an undisclosed number of other foreigners attempted to flee but were also arrested. Its understood Grygoruk has confirmed he is the owner of the business, which he describes as a yoga academy. He says he would charge foreign clients approximately 15,000 – 22,000 baht, depending on the length of their chosen Tantra Movement session. Once he received payment, the customer would be sent the academy’s coordinates with confirmation of the date and time of their class. According to the report, officers who raided the premises seized a number of items as evidence, including two “penis-like” devices. Yesterday, the authorities confirmed that Grygoruk is being charged with working without a work permit. The Immigration Bureau has been asked to consider revoking his visa but police have not confirmed what, if any, other penalties he may face.
