Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior faced harsh criticism following a disappointing performance in Poland's final Euro 2024 match against France. Despite his promising talent and versatility, Kiwior's costly errors drew negative reviews from Polish media.

Polish Media's Verdict on Jakub Kiwior’s Performance vs France

Signed from Spezia in January 2023 for £20 million (Sky Sports), Kiwior has shown great potential as a versatile defender, capable of playing multiple positions. However, his recent display against France highlighted significant shortcomings.

In the first half, Kiwior's careless ball loss nearly resulted in a goal, saved only by Lukasz Skorupski’s quick reflexes. After the break, a needless foul on Ousmane Dembele led to a penalty, converted by Kylian Mbappe.

Kiwior’s Future at Arsenal

Despite his struggles at Euro 2024, Kiwior remains a part of Arsenal’s plans. Though not a regular starter, he made 30 appearances in the 2023/24 season, primarily at left-back. Amid speculation of a potential move, with Juventus expressing interest, TBR Football reported that Kiwior will stay with Arsenal, accepting a backup role and waiting for opportunities in his preferred central defensive position.
