Phuket police are investigating a father who raped his 11-year-old daughter

Police are investigating a report of a father repeatedly raping his daughter, now 11 years old, at a house in Ratsada.

The formal complaint was reported to Phuket City Police last Saturday (June 1), Phuket City Police Chief Pol Col Prathueng Phonmana revealed to reporters yesterday (June 4).

Pol Lt Col Rapeepan Chumtham received the report.

The father is accused of repeatedly raping his daughter since last year, said the report filed with police.

The girl had also been raped by a friend of her father, a Myanmar man who goes by the nickname 'Kochai'

The girl told her 19-year-old brother about her father raping her, but he initially did not believe it. However, he eventually filed the formal complaint with police last Saturday, Pol Col Prathueng said.

The girl's mother was called to Phuket City Police Station yesterday to answer questions from police.

The mother explained that she and her daughter's father had been separated for some time. She also had forbidden her children from seeing their father.

The mother said that at first she also could not believe her daughter's allegations against her father, after she was told by her son. But now she too wants the police to investigate.

Police confirmed they are continuing with their investigation.
