This dramatic shift is set to clarify the murky waters of Thailand’s cannabis regulations, following Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin’s controversial pledge to recriminalise marijuana.
The new directive will specify that leaves, branches, roots, stems, and seeds are not outlawed. Only the buds, which contain psychoactive compounds for recreational use, will be banned.”
