Watchdog Thailand Foundation - WDT: An American citizen was detained by Phuket police on suspicion of sexually abusing a pregnant horse in Thalang, according to a stable employee.
According to The Phuket Express, on Sunday, March 10, a steady worker identified only as Mr. Chatchot, fifty, made the assertion. Mr. Chatchot, of Pak Klok, in Thalang's northern region, informed Thalang Police that he had discovered the horse's maltreatment during a regular health check earlier that day on a ten-year-old pregnant mare.
He then checked the security camera, which showed a foreign national in the stables. According to the report, the sexual assault was captured on camera and has gone viral online after being circulated to a number of animal welfare groups.
It’s understood an 18 year old American national, named only as “Stephen” has been identified as the perpetrator. It is not known if he is a tourist or has been living on the island. The authorities summoned him for questioning over the incident.
