Japan has welcomed a significant influx of Thai tourists in 2024, with a total of 1,002,200 visitors recorded between January and November. This figure positions Thailand as the sixth-largest source of foreign arrivals in Japan, according to the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO).

The number of Thai travelers represents a 15.2% increase compared to the previous year. However, it still reflects a 13.2% decline from pre-COVID levels in 2019.
