Orient has proudly celebrated the success of its “Made in Thailand” initiative at a special event held at the EPSON Thailand (EPTH) factory in Chachoengsao province on November 28, 2024. This gathering highlighted Thailand’s crucial role in global watch production under the Orient and Orient Star brands, showcasing a perfect blend of Japanese precision and Thai craftsmanship.

Pioneering Production at EPSON Thailand

A State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Facility

The EPTH facility, which began operations in 2013, launched its dedicated watch manufacturing line in 2019. Covering over 48,804 square meters, the factory adheres to stringent quality standards aligned with its Japanese headquarters. The establishment of a full production line in Thailand reflects EPSON’s confidence in the country’s robust logistics, resource availability, and skilled workforce.Training and Quality Control:

  • All employees undergo comprehensive training, including quality control protocols and hands-on learning, ensuring seamless integration of Japanese manufacturing techniques into Thai craftsmanship.

A Special Event: “Pride of Thai, Proud to Be Orient”

Insightful Factory Tour and Gala Evening

During the event, hosted by Orient executives including Masashi Hayashi, Executive Officer of Seiko Epson Corporation, attendees enjoyed an insightful factory tour. They witnessed the meticulous processes involved in crafting Orient watches, particularly the acclaimed automatic timepieces.Evening Highlights:

  • The gala titled “Pride of Thai, Proud to Be Orient” showcased Orient’s commitment to innovation and craftsmanship. Special guest Dr. Pramote Rienjaroensuk expressed admiration for Orient’s flagship collections such as the Bambino, Sun & Moon, and Diver Design.

Introducing the Limited Edition Bambino: A Tribute to Thailand

Commemorating Local Production with Unique Features

To mark the official launch of its production line in Thailand, Orient unveiled the Pride of Thailand Limited Edition Bambino. Limited to 500 pieces, this exclusive watch pays homage to Thai culture and craftsmanship.Key Features of the Limited Edition Watch:

  • Copper Sunburst Dial: Inspired by Thailand’s vibrant sunrises and the iconic color of Thai tea.
  • 38mm Case Design: Suitable for both men and women, featuring a sub-dial for seconds at 6 o’clock with a silver finish reminiscent of shimmering water.
  • Interchangeable Straps: Each set includes a nubuck leather strap and a steel bracelet, packaged in a specially designed box with tools for easy strap replacement.
  • Engraved Details: Each watch is individually numbered and engraved with the “Pride of Thailand” emblem and the phrase “A NEW MILESTONE OF QUALITY DEFINITION” on the case back.
