Weerawat Chaipan’s Legacy Honored

The Thai academic world is grieving the loss of Weerawat Chaipan, affectionately known as “Nes,” a Year 12 student at Triam Udom Suksa School who passed away on June 7, 2025, due to a cerebral haemorrhage linked to acute leukaemia. The Triam Udom Suksa Parents and Teachers Association shared a heartfelt condolence message on Saturday, celebrating Nes’s remarkable spirit and offering support to his family during this sorrowful time.

Acclaimed for National Recognition

Nes was a standout talent with a deep love for biology, earning the 2024 Outstanding Young Scientist award from the Science Society of Thailand. His academic brilliance shone through with a gold-equivalent certificate from the 22nd National Biology Olympiad at Walailak University and a bronze medal from the 21st at Khon Kaen University, alongside regular participation in astronomy, medical sciences, and problem-solving contests, marking him as a rising star in 2025.
