Kamala Police have successfully arrested two men in connection with a series of motorbike thefts, where the stolen vehicles were dismantled and sold for parts. The suspects, identified as ‘Mr. Surasing’ (also known as ‘Noom’), 39, and ‘Mr. Rungroj’ (Roj), 36, were apprehended following a thorough investigation by local authorities.

Motorbike Theft and Dismantling Operation Uncovered
The investigation began after a spate of motorbike thefts in the area, with police closely reviewing CCTV footage that confirmed the suspects’ involvement. The men allegedly transported the stolen motorbikes to remote areas in the hills of Thalang District, where they dismantled the vehicles. The parts were then sold to various repair shops across Phuket and other provinces, according to Kamala Police.

Confessions and Seized Items
During questioning, both men reportedly confessed to their involvement in multiple thefts. Among the stolen items were a Honda Wave 110i taken from Soi Fantasy in Kamala on July 27, a Honda Zoomer stolen on August 3, and another Honda Wave 110i with a sidecar from Moo 4, Thepkrasattri, on August 13. Additionally, the suspects admitted to stealing two drills from a location in Baan Phru Champa, Thepkrasattri, on August 6.

Police managed to recover the stolen motorcycles and the clothing worn during the thefts. The suspects are also alleged to have exchanged motorbike parts for drugs, which has added another layer to the investigation.

Drug-Related Charges and Ongoing Investigation
In addition to the theft charges, both men tested positive for methamphetamine, leading to further charges of illegal drug use. Kamala Police have stated that the investigation is ongoing, with officers now focusing on uncovering any connections between the suspects and illegal drug activities, as well as identifying those who purchased the stolen motorbike parts.

This case highlights the effectiveness of police efforts in tracking down and apprehending criminals involved in theft and illegal drug use. The Kamala Police continue to work diligently to ensure the safety and security of the community.
