Discover the Magic of the Children’s Discovery Museum

A Learning Hub for Creativity and Fun

Located on the southern edge of Queen Sirikit Park in Bangkok, the Children’s Discovery Museum is a pioneering educational space for children in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Established in 2001, this museum was designed to nurture creativity and inspire young minds through interactive exhibits and hands-on learning experiences. After a major renovation, the museum adopted the concept “Learning for Young Creative Minds,” focusing on fostering development through engaging activities tailored to various age groups.

Interactive Spaces for All Ages

Explore Four Unique Buildings

The museum spans three main exhibition buildings and outdoor learning areas, providing a total space of over 10,000 square meters. Each building offers distinct experiences:

  • Thor Tawan Building: A three-story semi-circular structure with creative exhibits for children aged 7–12.
  • Rainbow Building: A two-story space designed for younger children and parents, promoting safe and stimulating environments for early development.
  • Universal and Unilever Buildings: These areas feature additional exhibitions and activities to support skill development in a fun setting.

The outdoor spaces include a water park, climbing gym, and giant sandbox, ensuring kids remain active and entertained.

Plan Your Visit to the Museum

Admission, Hours, and Accessibility

The Children’s Discovery Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with free admission for all visitors. It is conveniently accessible via public transport:

  • BTS Mo Chit Station or MRT Chatuchak Station
  • Several bus routes, including numbers 136, 145, 138, and more

For group visits, advance booking is required. Facilities such as restrooms and shaded areas ensure a comfortable experience for families.

Tips for an Enjoyable Day Out

What to Bring for Maximum Fun

Visitors are encouraged to bring hats, water bottles, swimwear, and photo IDs to make the most of their visit. The museum offers diverse activities ranging from art workshops to dinosaur digs and water play zones. For toddlers aged 0–3 years, an air-conditioned indoor play area provides puzzles, soft toys, and interactive exhibits.

Why Visit the Children’s Discovery Museum?

A Unique Blend of Education and Entertainment

The Children’s Discovery Museum is more than just a play area; it’s a space where children can explore science, art, and creativity while having fun. With its mix of indoor and outdoor attractions catering to various age groups, it’s an ideal destination for families seeking an enriching experience in Bangkok.

Plan your visit today to inspire young minds while enjoying quality family time!
