Chelsea Football Club made history on Thursday, recording the biggest win in the UEFA Conference League with an 8-0 triumph over FC Noah at Stamford Bridge. The Premier League side dominated the Armenian team, with key players like João Félix and Christopher Nkunku leading the charge by each netting a brace. By halftime, Chelsea had already secured a 6-0 lead, setting the tone for a record-breaking performance.

This victory not only set a new standard in the UEFA Conference League, which began in 2021, but it also marks Chelsea’s second-largest win in the club’s history. The previous record in the Conference League was a six-goal margin, which Chelsea managed to surpass with ease. This memorable night comes close to Chelsea’s record 13-0 win over Jeunesse Hautcharage in 1971, making it a momentous occasion for Chelsea’s fans and players alike.

Chelsea’s lineup showcased excellent teamwork and precision from the start. Tosin Adarabioyo opened the scoring with a header from a corner, and Marc Guiu quickly followed by intercepting a defensive pass to put Chelsea two goals ahead just a minute later. Defensive and offensive strategies aligned perfectly, with Axel Disasi and Mykhailo Mudryk adding to the score with their superb goals, pushing Chelsea’s lead even further by halftime.

Star player João Félix showcased his skill by receiving a pass from Enzo Fernández and smoothly slipping the ball past FC Noah’s goalkeeper. Mudryk joined the scoresheet, delivering a stunning curling shot that found the top corner just six minutes before halftime, setting Chelsea up with a comfortable lead that the team would only expand as the game continued.

In the second half, Chelsea slowed the pace but continued to create scoring opportunities. Christopher Nkunku added two more goals, sealing Chelsea’s 8-0 record-breaking win. His second goal came via a penalty after his initial attempt was saved, displaying the tenacity that Chelsea demonstrated throughout the match.

Head coach Enzo Maresca praised his team’s focus and professionalism, noting how easy it can be to underestimate an opponent. Maresca commented on his players’ commitment to taking each game seriously, as shown in their performance. The decisive victory places Chelsea at the top of their UEFA Conference League group with nine points from three matches, making them a strong contender for the title.

This dominant display solidifies Chelsea’s place in the UEFA Conference League standings, setting a powerful example for their upcoming matches. With the team’s star players in top form and the unwavering support of their fans, Chelsea is well on their way to a memorable season in Europe’s third-tier competition.
