As monsoon conditions intensify, Thailand’s Meteorological Department (TMD) has issued warnings for heavy to very heavy rainfall across 11 provinces. The adverse weather may result in flash floods and forest run-offs, urging residents to exercise caution in the coming days.

TMD forecasts suggest severe weather will impact several provinces due to a strengthening northeastern monsoon and a low-pressure system moving through the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. Thunderstorms, strong winds, and high waves are also expected, particularly along coastal areas.

Northern Region

  • Conditions: Cool mornings with light fog and a slight temperature rise.
  • Temperature Range: 19–34°C.
  • Mountain Weather: Cold conditions with temperatures as low as 8°C.

Northeastern Region

  • Conditions: Light morning fog with a slight temperature increase.
  • Temperature Range: 21–33°C.
  • Mountain Weather: Cool to cold, with lows of 14°C.

Central Region

  • Conditions: Light fog in the morning and slightly warmer days.
  • Temperature Range: 25–34°C.

Eastern Region

  • Conditions: Occasional light rain with slight morning fog.
  • Temperature Range: 23–34°C.
  • Sea Conditions: Waves up to 2 metres in thunderstorms.

Southern Region (Eastern Coast)

  • Regions Affected: Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat.
  • Conditions: Thunderstorms in 70% of the area, with heavy to very heavy rain.
  • Sea Conditions: Waves exceeding 2 metres in thunderstorms.

Southern Region (Western Coast)

  • Regions Affected: Krabi, Trang, Satun.
  • Conditions: Thunderstorms in 60% of the area, with localized heavy rain.
  • Sea Conditions: Waves reaching over 2 metres in thunderstorms.

Bangkok and Surrounding Areas

  • Conditions: Light morning fog with slightly warmer days.
  • Temperature Range: 25–35°C.

Coastal and Maritime Warnings

Gulf of Thailand

  • Upper Gulf: Waves up to 3 metres during thunderstorms.
  • Lower Gulf: Waves between 2–3 metres, intensifying in thunderstorms.

Andaman Sea

  • Coastal areas may experience dangerous conditions with high waves exceeding 2 metres in thunderstorms.
