SRT Boosts Travel Capacity for Songkran Festival
Special Train Services Added Across Key Routes
The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced the addition of 26 special train services to accommodate the increased travel demand during the Songkran Festival. These services will operate from April 11 to April 17, covering northern, northeastern, and southern lines for both outbound and return journeys.
Increased Daily Passenger Capacity
To further support the holiday rush, SRT has maximized carriage capacity on its regular services, utilizing locomotive capabilities across 214 trains daily. This initiative is expected to handle a significant passenger increase, with at least 100,000 people traveling each day during the festival period.
Convenient Ticket Booking Options
D-Ticket System Enhances Accessibility
Passengers can book tickets through SRT’s D-Ticket system or directly at railway stations nationwide. This user-friendly platform ensures seamless booking for travelers planning their holiday trips.
Real-Time Train Tracking Available
