Chelsea started their UEFA Europa Conference League campaign in style, securing a commanding 4-2 victory over Belgian side Gent at Stamford Bridge. The Blues took an early lead thanks to a 12th-minute goal from Portuguese defender Renato Veiga. Chelsea extended their advantage just after halftime, with forward Pedro Neto finding the back of the net in the 46th minute.

Gent briefly fought back, narrowing the gap with a goal from Japanese defender Tsuyoshi Watanabe in the 50th minute. However, Chelsea regained control, with French forward Christopher Nkunku scoring a third goal for the home side in the 63rd minute. English midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall added another goal just seven minutes later, putting Chelsea 4-1 up.

Despite a late response from Gent’s Israeli midfielder Omri Gandelman in the 90th minute, it wasn’t enough to stop Chelsea from cruising to victory. The Blues now sit in sixth place in the standings with three points and a healthy goal difference, while Gent are still searching for their first points of the competition.

Chelsea’s dominant performance, led by goals from key players like Nkunku and Dewsbury-Hall, shows they are serious contenders in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Their next fixture will be crucial in maintaining this early momentum.
