During her recent visit to Maha Sarakham in the northeastern region of Isan, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra announced the government’s new initiatives, including the One District, One Scholarship (Odos) program. During her visit, Prime Minister Paetongtarn also addressed financial support for the elderly, assuring that the next round of 10,000-baht cash handouts would be distributed before the Chinese New Year on January 29.
- Eligibility and Distribution: Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat announced that recipients would be identified next month, with disbursements expected by the end of January. Approximately 3.2 million individuals are initially eligible for this one-time payment.
