Nation Group’s Recognition at Thai Journalism Awards

The Nation Group received top accolades at the annual Thai journalism awards ceremony held on March 4, 2025, at The Emerald Hotel, Ratchadaphisek Road. Organized by the Isra Amantakul Foundation and the Thai Journalists Association, the event celebrated outstanding achievements in print, online journalism, and news photography.

The ceremony was presided over by Narinee Ruangnu, President of the Thai Journalists Association, and Pongsak Payakvichien, Chairman of the Isra Amantakul Foundation. Winners were presented with trophies and cash prizes for their exceptional contributions to journalism.

Highlights of Award-Winning Stories

Outstanding Print Media Reporting

While no entry claimed the top prize for Best News Reporting in Print Media this year, Krungthep Turakij earned the Outstanding Award for its investigative report titled The Khao Kradong Saga: Reclaiming National Assets. The publication received a 30,000-baht cash prize for its impactful work.

Excellence in Online News Reporting

In the Best Online News Reporting category, Thansettakij Online was honored with an Honorable Mention for its in-depth coverage of the private hospital exodus from Thailand’s social security system. The report, titled Breaking the Deadlock: Private Hospitals Exit Social Security, Impacting 13 Million Insured, was awarded a 20,000-baht prize.

Recognizing Visual Storytelling

Best Online News Photography

The Best Online News Photography category saw significant participation with 30 submissions from 12 media outlets. An Honorable Mention was awarded to Kobphak Phromreka of Nation TV Online for his compelling photo series titled 10-Hour Marathon Fire Still Uncontained. This marked another milestone in visual storytelling excellence.
