Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof could be on the verge of departing Old Trafford during the upcoming January transfer window, with multiple clubs from the Premier League and Serie A closely monitoring his availability.

According to sources familiar with the situation, Manchester United are open to letting Lindelof leave midway through the season. The Swedish international, whose current contract expires next summer, is reportedly considering his options and appears open to an early exit rather than waiting to leave on a free transfer.

Despite the possibility of becoming a free agent in the summer, interest in Lindelof is already heating up. Several Premier League sides, including Newcastle United, West Ham United, and Everton, are believed to be keen on securing his services. Newcastle and West Ham, in particular, are said to view Lindelof as a reliable and experienced option, given his 267 appearances in a Manchester United shirt since joining the club.

In addition to Premier League interest, Lindelof has also attracted attention from several Serie A giants. AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Lazio, and Fiorentina are all reportedly keeping tabs on the 30-year-old defender’s situation and could look to strike a deal in January.

For Newcastle and West Ham, adding someone of Lindelof’s pedigree could provide valuable depth and experience to their defensive setups. His time at United has showcased his ability to perform at a high level, even though he has largely been relegated to a backup role in recent seasons.

While a January move remains a strong possibility, Lindelof’s ultimate decision will be one to watch. Manchester United fans are unlikely to be overly concerned about the departure, as the Swedish defender has seen his role diminish under the current management.

As the transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen whether Lindelof will make the move in January or wait until the summer for a fresh start elsewhere.
