Manchester United ended their five-match winless run in the Premier League with a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Brentford at Old Trafford. Second-half goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund saw Erik ten Hag’s side recover from a first-half deficit to claim a vital three points.

United had struggled early in the season, with just two wins from their opening seven games. It looked as if another setback was on the cards when Brentford’s Ethan Pinnock headed in from a corner in first-half stoppage time. The visitors were in control for much of the first half, with United lacking the sharpness to break through the Brentford defense.

Second Half Comeback:
Erik ten Hag’s halftime team talk seemed to spark life into his side, as Manchester United equalized just two minutes into the second half. Alejandro Garnacho connected with a Marcus Rashford cross and volleyed the ball past Brentford keeper Mark Flekken to bring the game level.

Confidence grew for United after the equalizer, and just after the hour mark, Rasmus Hojlund completed the turnaround with a well-taken chip over Flekken, courtesy of a brilliant assist from Bruno Fernandes. United’s defense held strong in the final minutes, securing the win and lifting them into the top half of the Premier League table.
