Amanor Hotel Rebrands with Lumi

A Fresh Italian Dining Experience

Amanor Hotel Chiang Mai, formerly akyra Manor since its 2015 opening, celebrates its tenth anniversary with a rebrand and the relaunch of its dining venue, now called Lumi. This all-day restaurant in Nimman blends luxury with a casual vibe, featuring pendant lights—reflecting its Italian name, meaning “lights”—and a reflective ceiling for a spacious feel, while preserving the al fresco patio’s tall trees.

Lumi’s Stylish Ambiance

Modern Design Meets Chiang Mai Charm

Lumi’s revamped interior replaces golden lamp trees with sleek, brick-textured tables that nod to Chiang Mai’s historic fort. The main dining area’s pendant lights and reflective ceiling create a voluminous, elegant atmosphere. The outdoor patio, integrated with existing trees, offers a serene setting for enjoying Italian dishes with a local twist.

Innovative Italian-Local Fusion Menu

Chef Prince’s Culinary Vision

Led by chef Thanongsak “Prince” Maneegard, Lumi’s kitchen fuses Italian techniques with Northern Thai flavors. Trained at Perth’s Empyrean Education Culinary Institute and seasoned at award-winning Perth restaurants, Chef Prince sources seasonal, local ingredients. The menu spans classic pastas, pizzas, and Thai-inspired dishes, showcasing his creative approach to fusion cuisine.

Signature Khao Soi Prawn Dish

A Thai-Italian Masterpiece

Lumi’s khao soi prawn epitomizes its “Italian craft, local character” ethos. Al dente ricotta ravioli, filled with savory prawn, is served in a fragrant khao soi sauce, topped with wonton chips and beetroot cubes for a refreshing crunch. This dish blends Chiang Mai’s iconic flavors with Italian finesse, delighting food enthusiasts.

Grilled Snow Fish Risotto

Tender and Flavorful Elegance

The grilled snow fish, served atop creamy risotto, highlights Lumi’s commitment to finesse. The perfectly cooked fillet, tender yet flaky, pairs beautifully with the rich risotto, offering a harmonious balance of textures and flavors that elevate this Italian-inspired dish to a Chiang Mai favorite.

Wagyu Short Rib Indulgence

Succulent and Richly Sauced

Lumi’s Wagyu short rib, slow-cooked to fall-off-the-bone perfection, is enhanced by a berry-infused red wine sauce. Accompanied by handcrafted gnocchi and velvety parmesan, this decadent main course delivers a luxurious dining experience, perfect for meat lovers seeking bold flavors.

Classic Tiramisu Dessert

A Coffee-Infused Finale

For dessert, Lumi’s classic tiramisu, with coffee-soaked ladyfingers, offers a delightful pick-me-up. This traditional Italian treat provides a sweet, energizing end to the meal, ensuring diners leave with a satisfied palate and a desire to return for more.

Breakfast at Lumi

A La Carte Morning Delights

Lumi’s breakfast service features an à la carte menu alongside a variety of self-serve items. Attentive staff offer personalized recommendations, such as adding three toppings to the Eggs Benedict, enhancing the morning dining experience. This makes Lumi a must-visit for both overnight guests and local foodies.
