Autofocus via Eye Tracking & Adaptive Lenses

Eye-tracking sensors inside the frames continuously detect where your eyes are focusing — whether on something near (like a book or phone) or far away. This isn’t just head direction, but the actual gaze direction of your eyes.

These sensors (e.g., tiny photodiodes/infrared LEDs) monitor eye movement and determine the depth at which you’re looking.

Based on that real-time eye tracking data, the glasses adjust their optical power automatically using embedded liquid-crystal lens elements. The effect is similar to how an autofocus camera lens changes focus based on where you’re pointing — but applied instantly for your eyes.

The design aims to replace traditional reading glasses, bifocals, or progressives by providing a single pair of glasses that can dynamically focus at any distance without manual adjustment.
